Chelsea Academy Foundation Update

Chelsea Academy Foundation Update

The Chelsea Academy Foundation is the charitable arm of the Academy and it raises money to pay for additional activities and projects that the core funding from central government does not cover.

In 2017-18 the Foundation raised an amazing £150,000.  This money was raised through a variety of channels including fundraising events, bids to trusts and foundations as well as donations from local businesses and individuals.  The money helped to fund field trips for maths, science and geography, projects related to accessing university, creative writing and literacy activities, tutoring for less able students, purchasing 3D printers and extended curriculum activities like rowing and robotics clubs.  Every student at the Academy benefits in some way or another from the additional activities the Foundation funds.

The Foundation would like to thank the following funders and supporters for their generosity:

Brunel University

The Bryan Adams Foundation

Eranda Rothschild Foundation

Garfield Weston Foundation

Golden Bottle Trust

Harris & Hoole

The John Armitage Charitable Trust

John Lyon’s Charity

Keystone Tutors

Lots Road Auctions

Lots Road Pub

Martin & Co Sales & Lettings

Taylor & Shaw

Wellington Square Foundation
