Chelsea Academy Update on GDPR

Chelsea Academy Update on GDPR

You may have heard about the new General Data Protection Regulation that comes into effect today, May 25th 2018. Under this new law, individuals have a right to be informed about how the Academy uses any personal data that we hold about them.

We comply with this right by providing ‘privacy notices’ to individuals to clarify how we process their personal data. You can read our privacy notices by clicking here:

We have also made it easier for you to check and change your consent. Where we have obtained your consent to use students’ personal data, this consent can be checked or changed at any time via the Academy’s Parent App, online at, or by contacting the Registrar You may also use any of these if you wish to withdraw consent at any time.

Over the Summer Term, we will be working with our students to help them understand how rules around data protection are changing and how the GDPR affects them. In the meantime, if you have any questions about how the GDPR affects you, your child or how our Academy is preparing, you can contact Mrs Blake on
